Yesterday's lessons and experiences must be used wisely today to create a better tomorrow.

Before we get any kind of advancement or promotion in life, we need to have earned the right to it. There are no free gifts in life, nor are there any short cuts to success of a lasting nature. Being worthy of any kind of responsibility requires an attitude of service to others. We earn a right only when we have given cooperation to others from our hearts.

The most important place to keep clean and tidy are our minds and hearts. If we allow thoughts to flourish that we wouldn't want to see the light of day, we can never have any real self-respect. By starting each day in quiet reflection and pouring positive, loving thoughts into our mind, we gradually clean out cynicism and unkindness. Our mind should be so beautiful and welcoming that God Himself would want to come and see it.

As we grow in our spiritual life, we give up the habit of worrying. It serves no purpose other than to make us feel tense and miserable. When we stop fretting about things that are beyond our control and focus instead on generating optimistic and kind thoughts, our life can begin to flow in ever more positive directions. Such a light and easy approach to life enables us to take everything in our stride.
