Meditation is the most important journey you can ever make.

It is a journey of no distance in one second!

The destination is the deepest peace,

The prize is the greatest happiness,

And the reward is the truest love.

Wisdom grows along the way.

Develop the Habit of Noticing Goodness.

Even if we don’t mean to be critical, We often unconsciously home in on others’ weaknesses and mistakes. The more we develop the habit of noticing goodness and only holding onto the good in others and in situations, the more our own sense of well being will rise. When we continually think “He/She is wrong”, we create a barrier that prevents us from reaching our own goodness.

High Ethics

To live according to high ethics presents many challenges. No one can tell which ethic should guide which situation. There is no rule book. The solution lies in our own ability to get to the heart of the issue. In order to discern what is really going on in any situation we should first ensure that our mind is free from the clutter of negativity. Then we will have the clarity to understand the motives driving others.

Beautiful Manners

A person of wisdom and spirituality has very beautiful manners that have grown from genuine respect and love for the whole humanity. Manners in this sense have nothing to do with culture or education; it is simply a question of humility. When we are at the receiving end of such manners, we feel that some deeper part of us has been honoured. In fact, none of us deserves anything less.

Attitude of Giving

We can only bring true lasting benefit to others when we have a loving attitude towards them, no matter what they are like. To help bring out the best in everyone, regardless of their mood or disposition, we need to ask “ How can I make a positive contribution here?” instead of wondering what can we get out of situations and people for ourselves. This attitude of giving is one of the great secrets of inner contentment.

Focusing to Inner Self

When we are living from our inner self, it means that we are focusing our attention on the internal and when we observe the external world around us, we do not get lost, threatened or frightened by the events. We remain stable and experience the feeling of security and tranquility. The biggest obstacle to Inwardliness is living in our senses - organs of sigh, hearing and eating. We lose sight of our inner being. We look at things with feelings of desire, greed, anger, attachment or arrogance. We hear indecent or degrading talk. We utter harsh words or get addicted to the pleasures of the palate. Living in the outward is living far away from the state of inwardliness, the consciousness that brings us serenity, happiness and peace.

Conversation with God

One of the best ways to remain light, even in the middle of chaos and heaviness, is to keep a conversation with God. Chatting to God, whose responsibilities are unlimited, about trivial matters that are wearing us down gives us a more entertaining view of life. It requires a certain stillness of mind to hear His advice, but with practice we learn to sense His perspective on our minor irritations. Since His mind radiates lightness and love, the very act of opening ourselves up to Him enables us to lighten our burdens.

Learn to Remain Constant and Unaffected.

Observe how easily the day would pass if you were able to move freely without being affected by the negative attitude of others. Imagine how much you can accomplish if you were able to remain constantly in a calm and peaceful state rather than fluctuating, up one minute then down the next. Everytime you lose happiness and go down, just see how much energy is needed to take yourself up again. If you learn to remain constant, not only is energy saved but you will find that your mental strength increases and of course with mental strength and stability come the development and maturity of character. Strength of character depends upon my ability to remain unaffected by adverse circumstances.

Develop Quality of Sweetness

It is fashionable to use humour in a caustic way and to subtly criticize. More often than not, this is hurtful and makes others wary of us. To avoid any kind of bitter tinge to our interactions we need to let go of mistakes – both our own and those of other people – completely. When we have learned to love in a pure way and know how to create positive attitudes at will, we develop the quality of sweetness in our personality. Let our nature become so sweet that we never again disempower anyone or draw attention to their weakness.

Develop Respect for Ourselves

When we learn to respect ourselves, other people will respect us. How can we develop respect for ourselves? By keeping our mind positive and encouraging ourselves to grow and change for the better. Demanding respect because of our position or background is simply arrogance. On the other hand, listening with humility and valuing other people’s advice naturally ears us respect. We get back exactly what we give out.

Secret to Success

The secret to success lies in the balance of remaining firm in the goals we have set, but flexible in the process of realizing them. We need to maintain a balance of responding to situations with a cool head and to people with a warm heart.

Clear Negativity by fill with Positivity

The method to clear the mind of negativity is to fill it with positivity. Whenever we come across waste or negativity in the self because of the situations that we are faced with, we first put in effort to remove it. We do work very hard to do that but most of the times we are not able to do so. We then put in more effort or after a period of time give up trying altogether. The only way to remove negativity is to fill the mind with positivity. Just as fresh water added continuously to dirty water cleanses the water, so also positive thoughts clear the mind of waste and negative thoughts. For this I need to give my mind positive food everyday.

Way to Remain Stable

The way to remain stable is to apply a full-stop. When difficult situations come my way, it is very natural to have questions and exclamations in the mind. It becomes very difficult to apply a full-stop and finish the situation in my mind. Because of such waste thoughts I am not able to experience stability in difficult situations. I need to bring out in my mind one or the other positive point about the situation. When I understand the meaning behind the situation, I am able to accept it. This acceptance enables me to be free from waste questions and negative thoughts and I am easily able to apply a full-stop. This is what brings inner stability. (No question-mark.... why me, when, how, who...?)

Awareness of Positive Thoughts

To make thoughts as pure as the actions is to be truly elevated. There is usually attention on the self not to perform any negative acts. There is also considerable attention not to speak any words that are harmful or negative. But very rarely is there that attention on the thoughts. Because of this a lot of negative thoughts tend to remain in the intellect causing trouble for me. I need to understand the fact that my thoughts form the basis for my words and actions. The more I pay attention to make my thoughts positive, the more it will have a positive impact on my words and actions too. Constant awareness of a positive thought enables me to maintain my own inner positivity.

Be Master of Self to Create Positive Thoughts

To be a master is to create positive thoughts under all circumstances. The one who is the master of himself creates the right kind of thoughts according to the circumstance. He is not dependent on situations or people for the right kind of response. Since there is mastery over thoughts, there is also mastery over all words spoken and everything done. When I am able to be a master of myself, I am able to constantly create positive thoughts. I am in touch with the inner resources and I am able to make use of these resources in a timely way. I never get confused or pressurized with outside situations, but am able to be in control in all situations.

Key of Positive & Powerful Thoughts

To check and change thoughts and feelings constantly is to ensure positive change. The one who has a constant check on his own thoughts is able to bring about a change in them. So thoughts when changed to positive bring about change in words and behaviour too. There is no negative waste, or even ordinary behaviour. There is speciality revealed in every act. When I am constantly aware of the quality of thoughts I am creating at each moment, I can keep a check on them. My thoughts are not just positive, but powerful too. These powerful thoughts create a positive impact and I experience constant success.

Purity

To be pure is to become an instrument to spread positivity. The one who is pure and clean inside is the one who reflects his purity through his words and actions. Such a person's thoughts are powerful having a positive impact on the thoughts of others too. There is such clarity inside that others are able to take inspiration from him to do what is right. When I am honest with myself, I become more and more pure and clear inside. This purity reveals the power of truth and I get all the more powerful. I don't allow anything negative to influence me and take away my inner purity. This purity becomes a source of powerful inspiration for everyone around.

As We Think So is Our World.

As we think so is our world. Inspite of our best efforts if things don't turn out the way we expect them to, there is a tendency to get disheartened and we begin to have negative thoughts. These negative thoughts further create negative situations and we find that things get no better. Instead of beginning to change things and situations that are going wrong, I need to work at the seed, i.e my thoughts. I need to keep my thoughts positive under all circumstances, which will make my actions positive too and I slowly find things changing for the better.

Elevated Thoughts

Thoughts are the seeds that create our destiny. Thoughts lead one to destiny. If there is the same thought as before, there is no newness and there cannot be anything new attained. If things have to change, effort needs to be put in at the level of the thought first. Such thoughts will naturally inspire and motivate to make the best use of the available resources. When I begin to create new elevated thoughts in challenging times, I am able to be happy and peaceful. I don't have questions related to the situations but I am able to find the solutions in my mind .This inner peace naturally creates a peaceful environment around me.

Control Mind means to Master the Mind.

To control the mind means to be the master of the mind. Controlling thoughts is usually understood as clearing out the mind of all negative and waste thoughts when they do arise. So whenever we have negative thoughts we try hard to transform them into the positive ones. Control of the mind is actually to have mastery over my thoughts, so that I am able to direct them as I wish to. So even in the most negative situations I need to maintain my positivity instead of trying hard to convert negative into positive.
