Practicing Virtues Helps Maintain Positivity !

When we face negative situations, we either become negative or we try to move away from the situation. But that too becomes a temporary solution, as the negative thoughts, feelings and emotions continue to follow us. The only way we can come into positivity, even in the most negative situation, is by connecting to our innate qualities. Deep within us are the most beautiful qualities of peace, love and happiness, which we mistakenly look for outside. Practicing with these qualities help us maintain positivity under all circumstances.

Confidence Helps You To Solve Any Problems !

When difficult situations come our way, we generally are not able to be confident of our success. So although there is a chance to do something, we are not able to give our best. Each new situation is perceived as a threat. Once fear creeps in, the situation further worsens and all chances of success are gone. When we are determined we become confident of our success. With this confidence we are able to do everything necessary till we succeed. We never let go off anything half way, but see to it that the task is completed. With every obstacle our determination further increases, thus enabling us to progress at every step. So we find ourselves getting better and better and there is success for us constantly.

Free Yourselves From The Past And Move Forward !

Most of the times we are slaves of the past. Although the situation has become past, we tend to think of it again and again. We are neither able to forget the past nor are we able to forgive. We continue to create the same thoughts and the same feelings again and again. Thus we find that we are just caught up in the past, and we are not able to learn from it. In order to move forward to the future, we need to free our mind of the past. If we learn from the past, with this learning we can move forward. We need to forgive and forget. We can forget only when we forgive and we can forgive only when we learn. When we take the learning from every situation, we are able to be free from being a slave of the past.

Create A Positive Space For Rebuilding Your Relationships !

It is so easy to speak negatively when we do not like something about someone. Sometimes we do react to the situation and get angry. We continue to find fault with that person. The person too responds negatively to our negative thoughts. And so there is no hope of creating a positive relationship. When something goes wrong in any relationship, the first thing we need to do is to keep our mind calm and cool. When we do this, we will not be caught up with the negativity of the situation or the negative trait of the person at that time, but we will be able to see something beautiful in that person. We will be able to appreciate and connect to the uniqueness of that person, thus creating space for rebuilding that relationship.

Explore Your Hidden Treasures !

When we are faced with difficult situations, we usually tend to have a feeling that we have no resources or are not able to make the best use of the resources within for best results. Thus we are not able to experience real progress. On the other hand we only tend to experience a lot of negative feelings. When we learn the art of being stable in the most negative situations, we know how to use the treasures that are hidden within ourselves. Our mind is no longer disturbed with waste or negative thoughts and we find it easy to face and learn from each and every situation.

Allow Flexibility In Your Life !

When I plan perfectly for the day ahead, I sometimes find that I am not able to implement all that I had planned for. Things seem to be coming up unexpectedly spoiling everything for me. I am then not able to be happy with what is happening and so find it difficult to do my best or what is required for me to do. It is as important to be flexible in my thoughts as it is to be particular about my daily schedule. Flexibility allows me to accommodate the unforeseen situations that come up my way and enables me to make the best use of everything. And so I enjoy everything that comes my way.

Accept Everyone In Their Own Unique Way !

We usually expect people to behave according to our expectations. We would like to see people change according to our expectations and we expect them to mould themselves with our own value system. Yet we notice that this does not happen and then we tend to become disappointed. We need to understand that each one is unique with his own specialties, and uniqueness. When we are able to appreciate this uniqueness we are able to respect each and every human being and the unique contribution he can make. So with this change in our consciousness we will not expect others to change according to my wish but will take benefit from their uniqueness.

Inspire The Best In Others !

To be cooperative to someone who is being good to you, and to get the cooperation of "good" people is easy. But not always do we get people's cooperation consistently. When we don't, it affects the task and our own state of mind negatively. True cooperation comes from a vision of hope and faith in each and every individual we come into contact with. When we have this vision, we are able to give cooperation in the right way to people. And we are also able to get their cooperation at all times for all tasks, for we will be able to inspire the best in them.

Have A Positive Conversation With God !

One of the best ways to remain light, even in the middle of chaos and heaviness, is to keep a conversation with God. Chatting to God, whose responsibilities are unlimited, about trivial matters that are wearing us down gives us a more entertaining view of life. It requires a certain stillness of mind to hear His advice, but with practice we learn to sense His perspective on our minor irritations. Since His mind radiates lightness and love, the very act of opening ourselves up to Him enables us to lighten our burdens.

Transform The Circumstances Into Positive Ones To Create A New Destiny !

When I am disheartened, I may do one of the two: I either suffer quietly by admonishing my incapabilities and fate or I externalize my problems by blaming God and those around me. Apart from the stress I create for myself and negative karma with other souls, what's important is that either way I am not solving the problem. Each one of us face disappointment at our own times, but the longer I allow these feelings to stay on the more attached they become. I can only begin to heal the situation and myself by 'wanting a change', 'wanting relief' and 'wanting something better as I deserve it.' This positive attitude works as catalysis to transform circumstances, take me closer to God and create a new destiny.

Good Inspirational Talks !

When you have the power to accommodate, you are mature enough to merge gossip, rumours, people's weaknesses and sanskars and not spread bad vibrations. Just as a mother never talks ill of her children's defects or as the ocean accepts the rubbish rivers bring along, God teaches us to be sensible and discreet. These qualities make us trustworthy and give us the power to build relationships rather than walls.

Humble Positive Words !

Ganeshji, the deity acclaimed for being Destroyer of Obstacles became so after God severed the false head of ego. What a powerful reminder of how detrimental ego can be! Ego pushes me towards all that is temporary and mirage-like i.e. connected with the body (high or low education, good or ordinary physical appearance, status at home and work, professional experiences). It traps the mind in limited, petty thinking and prevents me from recognizing the value of virtues because they seem worthless in today's materialistic, competitive world. A humble person may have to swallow bitter words and actions from time to time, however he or she is guaranteed to receive God's unlimited blessings and love - what more could we ask for.

Manage Your Thoughts Sensibly !

A great number of us wish we weren't forgetful or careless. But interestingly enough, the mind generally forgets normal, routine things but can't get away from contemplating on the past or future (could be my own or others). It's not surprising that my mind finds it hard to remember what I need for today, when it's trying to manage the traffic jam of thoughts pertaining to yesterday and tomorrow. We could argue that the past has many good things to adopt or that we need to plan for the future, but along with that I end up encouraging the past or future to weigh me down. Let me guard my thoughts carefully and not allow any leakage of the mind power.

Interact With People With Positivity !

Our words can either spiritually sustain souls or damage their self-esteem. Whether we are talking about someone's faults or weaknesses, passing comments on a situation that does not concern us, or giving private information we create an atmosphere that could suffocate any soul in the vicinity and reduce chances of improvement or productivity. Remember that it's very difficult to trust someone who speaks without thinking of the consequences. We can save a lot of time and energy by paying attention to how we interact and express ourselves in relationships.

Intelligent Positive Thoughts !

We learn a lot about someone's personality simply by listening to them. On a gross level it reveals a person's background, education, intelligence, wittiness etc. However it also brings to light one's attitude and sanskars (personality traits): How much do we live in the past or future and not the present, do we appreciate the positive aspects in situations and people, are our words spoken with arrogance or humility, does my lax nature make me speak inappropriately or does my intellect first judge the situation, time, person, and consequences before I allow words to emerge? It pays to 'Speak Less, Speak Slowly and Speak Sweetly' as it creates a place for me in other's hearts in no time.

Have Faith And Patience And Bring About Good Transformation !

Would you reprimand a young child for their mischievousness or mistakes? Though it's important to be firm in teaching discipline, a good parent or care-giver realizes that the child is innocent of how it should behave. Therefore, the approach is patient and loving. But what happens when we see adults making big-little errors? Our mature self makes us react, comment, argue and say "But they should know better..." It's true that adults have to be more responsible for their actions but that's not always the case. It's in our best interest to accept that no matter how much we correct people, they are likely to change at their own time. At times, we all come under the influence of our sanskars which compel us to act against better judgment. As we are in the same boat, keeping faith and good wishes for others (and ourselves) is the best way to guide and bring about good transformation.

Forgive And Forget To Lead A Normal Life !

We sometimes find it very difficult to forgive the mistakes committed by others. We do try to understand but are not able to understand the other person's behaviour and so find it difficult to forgive them. When I have love for myself and am able to learn from all that happens, I am able to forgive myself. When I know to do this, I can understand the other person too from his perspective and can easily forgive him.

Powerful Resources Should Be Utilised For Better Life !

When there is power within, we are able to do what is required at the right time. We are able to find the resources and use them appropriately. All we have to do is to be a master and order and the right resource will be obediently accessible for use. To say "I will try to do it" is to experience failure even before beginning something. We need to have the thought that I will do it come what may. Then the seed of our thought will be of faith and not of doubt. So we will be successful in doing what we have to.

Bring Positive Awareness In Your Thoughts !

There is usually attention on the self not to perform any negative acts. There is also considerable attention not to speak any words that are harmful or negative. But very rarely is there that attention on the thoughts. Because of this a lot of negative thoughts tend to remain in the intellect causing trouble for me. I need to understand the fact that my thoughts form the basis for my words and actions. The more I pay attention to make my thoughts positive, the more it will have a positive impact on my words and actions too. Constant awareness of a positive thought enables me to maintain my own inner positivity.

When we are faced with challenges, we usually experience that there are not sufficient resources or we are not able to make use of our resources for best results. So instead of experiencing progress, we experience a lot of negative feelings. When we learn the art of being stable in the most negative situations, we know how to use the treasures that are hidden within us. Our mind is no longer disturbed with waste or negative thoughts and we find it easy to face and learn from each and every situation.
