Keep Your Mind Free to Get Quick Solutions in Life

To finish waste questions is to find a solution. When a difficult situation comes up there are waste questions in the mind either about the past or about the future. Questions like 'why did it happen like this?' or 'What will happen now?' are very common. But to keep the mind busy with waste questions is to block it from using its capability of finding solutions. On the other hand, to finish waste questions, means to keep the mind free for finding solutions. When we keep our mind free from waste questions, we are able to be alert and find the right answer to every problem. We have the confidence and we know that every problem has a solution. When we keep our mind in the present by freeing ourselves of waste questions, we are able to quickly and easily find the solution and move towards success even in the most challenging situations.

Learn to Take Responsibility in Life

The one who is responsible is the one who constantly has good wishes. To be responsible means to recognize the importance of one's own role. That means there is the understanding that others' transformation is dependent on one's own transformation. When there is the recognition of one's responsibility, there is naturally alertness. This alertness brings good wishes for even the ones who are not being positive. When we are able to maintain good feelings for all those we come into contact with, we find our relations gradually improving. We also find that we are ready to take up the challenge of changing ourselves before we can think of changing others. Due to this, others continue to take inspiration from us and bring about a change in themselves too.

With the Power of Cooperation, Difficult Task Becomes Easy

To take up responsibility is to inspire cooperation from others. When there is the initiative to take up responsibility, there is accuracy in words and actions too. There is the use of one's own specialties in the task that is to be done and so others too keep getting inspiration to use their specialties. So the task is filled with honest effort that is the contribution of each and everyone. When we take up responsibility for everything that comes up in our life, we find that others too take responsibility to contribute their share to the task. We find others cooperating with us and the most difficult task becomes easy. The power of cooperation works wonders in the most difficult task.

Consider Yourself Fortunate at Every Step

The first step of courage is to consider oneself fortunate at every step. The one who is courageous never has a doubt of being fortunate. Even if there are difficult situations and challenges, the faith of being fortunate never fades away. This faith enables such a person to recognize and use the available resources in a worthwhile way. Even during difficult situations, there is never a need to stop as faith gives courage to move on. When we consider ourselves to be fortunate we never experience fear in spite of difficult situations. We are always happy with whatever is happening. Along with it we also have the enthusiasm to make effort to better the situation. We never worry but are able to enjoy each and every moment and make the best use of it.

Have Balance of Flexibility and Discipline in Life

The one who has the balance of flexibility and discipline is the one who is constantly successful. It is of course necessary to be flexible but if we are so flexible that others take advantage of us it is not right. So we need to have a balance of flexibility and discipline i.e., to be flexible within the rules and code of conduct. It is necessary to take care that the flexible nature within us doesn't waste our time or other resources. We have to be able to say no if the situation demands. But whatever we say has to be told with love, which comes when our nature is that of flexibility.

Habits Break Easily When There Is Flexibility

Habits break easily when there is flexibility. The more we work with a habit the more it will be strengthened. When we hold on to our habits because of our rigidity, we will never be able to change them but will only be strengthening them all the more. On the other hand if we are flexible we will be able to give up unwanted habits very easily. If we are working with any habit which we want to get rid of, we have to remind ourselves that we must not strengthen the habit any more but have to break it. We only need to emerge the flexibility within us and tell ourselves that we needn't act in the same way that we have always done, instead we can think of something new.

With Humility and Love Flexibility Becomes Natural

With humility and love, flexibility becomes natural. In order to be flexible we need to have the virtue of humility. With humility we will be willing to understand the people around and their behavior. Then we will also be able to have love for them. This automatically brings flexibility within us. When we come across people who are not being cooperative, we need to become humble and try to understand what the they are communicating, if not through words at least through their actions. When we are able to listen with love and understanding, we will no more be rigid but can easily adapt ourselves.

Be Flexible and Move with Time

Flexibility makes problems into teachers. Flexibility enables us to move with time, slipping through life as gently and strongly as possible. When problems do come, instead of stopping with fear, we will be able to learn from them and move on, experiencing constant progress. In any problem that we are faced with we need to remind ourselves that the situations around us will not remain the same, things might get worse too. If we are able to be flexible now we will be able to adjust ourselves to any kind of situation that we might be faced with in the future too.

Power of Realization Brings Transformation in Life

The one who has the power of realization is the one who can bring transformation. When something goes wrong we immediately begin to look for excuses why that mistake happened. This finishes our power of realization and we will not be able to recognize our own mistake. Then we will not be able to work at improving ourselves and we will not be able to bring any transformation. Instead of looking for excuses for what happened, we need to take the opportunity to check within ourselves and see our own mistake. When we recognize our mistake, however small it may be, we will be able to work on it. Only when we are able to realize our own mistake, will we be able to bring about transformation in ourselves.

Speak Less, Speak Softly and Speak Sweetly

The one who is free from wasteful words is the one who can be light. Sometimes when something only needs a few words to explain, we continue to speak and expand on it for a long time. We actually use more words than necessary thinking we are clarifying things. We give the justification to ourselves that it is necessary or the other person does not understand. These words sometimes disturb the other person and spoil our relationships too. We constantly need to pay attention to the words that we speak. We need to check if we are using any more words than we actually need to. When we remind ourselves of a simple slogan, "speak less, speak softly and speak sweetly", our words will never be those that disturb others. We will then be able to maintain our own lightness and that of others too.

True Help is to Make People Independent and Strong

True help is to give support in such a way that people become independent. Think of those people we are giving some kind of help or support. Check if we are helping in such a way to make them independent or is our help making them dependent on us. We should remind ourselves that our aim in helping is to make people independent and strong in such a way that they are able to support others too. Our help should never make people weak.

True Love is Felt by All Who Receive It

True love is felt by all who receive it. Sometimes we do find ourselves in situations where others are not responding to the love we are giving. We are trying to be understanding and accepting as much as possible but others don't seem to be recognizing it. In such a situation we begin to blame others and their lack of feelings and concern. Instead of blaming others when our love and concern is not being reciprocated, we need to check the quality of the love that we give. If there is even a trace of selfishness or if it is mixed with expectations, our love will not be able to reach out and touch the hearts of others. So we need to make sure that our love is pure and unselfish.

Selfless Action will Surely Bear Fruit at Its Own Time

To know that the seed of selfless action will surely bear fruit at its own time is to be light. Sometimes when involved in a task, we tend to get carried away with the result. We become so result-oriented that we begin to expect the fruit of what we have done immediately. Without the recognition of the fact that the result might take time to come, we begin to get caught up with our own expectations. This creates a lot of heaviness in our mind and we might even give up what we are doing. When we make a contribution for something, we must develop faith that whatever has to happen will happen at the right time. We don't have to eat unripe fruit, i.e., not get carried away with immediate results but have to wait patiently knowing that the fruits of our actions will ripen at their own time. With faith this is possible and we will be able to free ourselves from negativity and heaviness.

Use Your Inner Power to Overcome Situations

The difficulty of the situation lies in one's own state of mind. To make something big as small or to make something small as big depends on one's state of mind. When one's state of mind is good, to deal with situations becomes easy. So even difficult situations are crossed over with great ease. Then there will be no dependency on the external situations to change the internal state of mind. That is, there will never be a reaction to external situations but there will be always stability. When our state of mind is good and powerful, we are confident of ourselves and are able to easily win over all obstacles. Otherwise, the situation takes hold of the internal state of our mind and we find ourselves bound by the situation. At such a time, the smallest situation feels like a very big obstacle. With faith in ourselves we are very easily able to use our inner power to overcome situations.

Have Spiritual Vision

Wherever I go, whatever I do, people respond to me as a body, people look at me as a body. People will work with me in terms of my role, gender and so on, and not with any spiritual vision. Therefore it is I, and I alone, who must constantly take the responsibility to remind myself who I really am, as I continue to deal with life's situations.

Establish Peace in Yourself

Do not worry about peace on earth. That is God's responsibility. All we have to do is establish peace in ourselves. The only co-operation God wants, is for us to become pure. This we can only do by staying in His remembrance.

True Effort Lies in Maintaining Inner Self Respect

True effort lies in maintaining inner self-respect. When there is no self-respect it becomes difficult to recognize and use one's own potentials. So whatever little effort is put is only to show off to others and to seek their approval. So this further increases such dependency on others. Slowly all effort put in is only to prove to others and hardly any effort is put in for the self. So such effort doesn't contribute to real progress. When there is an awareness of our inner potentials and capabilities, and we are in our state of self-respect, we are able to use them for our own progress. As there is the satisfaction of our progress, there is no dependency on the others for approval or encouragement. We can make effort with our inner freedom. There is lightness and enjoyment in whatever we set out to do, and we find quick and easy change.

Courage Brings Success

Courage brings success. Even after repeated trials and failures, when one does not lose courage, there is the ability to go on trying till success is achieved. Courage comes with the understanding that there is surely a way out. So a lot more effort is put in to find the right way. Success, which had been eluding for a long time will be finally attained. When we have courage, we have hope. We will not give up the task mid way, but will put in continued effort. Because of this there is no difficulty experienced even whilst putting in extra effort but we do everything with enthusiasm and happiness. So nothing seems difficult and we easily move towards success.

The Power of Realization Brings Permanent Transformation

The power of realization brings permanent transformation. To have the power of realization means to have the power to understand what is right and to have the commitment to the right thing. So, if a mistake is committed, when there is the realization, there is easy and permanent transformation. So the same mistake is never committed again. When we have the power of realization, we will never experience difficulty in bringing about a change, because we have actually understood the importance of bringing about change.

Failure Is a Process of Strengthening that Leads to Success

To fail means there is the need to work a little harder. To fail doesn't means to be a failure but it only means that it will take a little longer before success can be reached. It gives an indication that more effort has to be put in. So when things are done in a different way, it becomes possible to move towards success. Failure in a particular task is a process of strengthening that leads to success. During the time of failure, when we understand the significance behind the incident, we are able to be free from negative feelings of fear or disheartenment. Then we are able to learn the right lesson from it and move ahead. Even in our worst failures, we experience constant progress and we move on towards success.
