As Is the Seed So is the Fruit - Selfhelp Quotes

As is the seed so is the fruit. Several times we find things happening unexpectedly. Yet, there should be the understanding that nothing is unexpected or a matter of chance but everything depends on the seeds previously planted. When there is this understanding there is no passiveness but there is an ability to take responsibility and better the situation. Every thing we do has a deep significance and an importance for what we have to attain. When we understand this fact, we are able to make the most out of what we have. We are never discouraged by the negative results that we get today, nor do we take ourselves to a great height for the positive things that we get. We remain stable and make the best use of what we have.

Freedom from One's Own Weaknesses Brings Stability - Freedom Saying

Freedom from one's own weaknesses brings stability. Usually when we talk about freedom it is from people or from situations. We expect people or things to change for us so that we will be free. But we don't find that happening because the problem lies more within us than outside. Every time we find ourselves caught up and expecting things to get better for us we need to check ourselves. There would surely be some weakness of ours that is making us feel helpless in that particular situation. We need to make effort to remove that weakness. Then our perception towards the situation will change and we'll feel free.

The One Who Is Free from Complaints Becomes Complete - Self Help Quotes

The one who is free from complaints is the one who becomes complete. When things go wrong it is the usual reaction to complain, against situations or others, and to find fault with them. When we are busy complaining we will not be able to make any effort to make any improvement in ourselves. Whenever we find ourselves complaining we need to see what we can do to bring about a change instead of just complaining. There would surely be something that we can do. Slowly as we begin to implement each thing that we learn, we find ourselves moving forward towards our own perfection.

Develop Respect for Yourself to Grow and Change for the Better - Self Respect Quotes

When I learn to respect myself, other people will respect me. How can I develop respect for myself? By keeping my mind positive and encouraging myself to grow and change for the better. Demanding respect because of my position or background is simply arrogance. On the other hand, listening with humility and valuing other people's advise naturally earns me respect. I get back exactly what I give out.

Fill Your Mind with Positivity - Positive Action Quotes

Affluent societies have put huge effort into improving physical facilities, but our minds have suffered neglect. Increased levels of negative states such as anxiety, addiction, irritability and depression have accompanied burgeoning desires. As well as undermining the health of individuals, these negative attitudes and emotions harm society and the environment by causing a loss of fundamental values in our actions. When we feel sad and empty inside, we become part of the problem. We comfort ourselves by blaming others and circumstances. Instead we have to learn how to make our mind strong. That means fill it with positivity.

Have a Lot of Love While Giving Your Suggestions to Others - Self Help Thoughts

The one who serves with the balance of the head and the heart is the one who is successful. We usually give directions to people when they go wrong. We also use a lot of logic when we give such directions, but it doesn't always have the desired effect. We then begin to consider the other person to be wrong. What we need to do is to have a balance of both the head and the heart while giving our suggestions to others. That means we need to have a lot of love while giving our suggestions to them. Then whatever we say will have its effect on them.

Deep Healing is Called Spirituality - Spiritual Quotes

The deepest wounds we all carry are locked in our subconscious (out of our awareness). Deep memories and subtle impressions, from unfinished experience, rooted in the past. The pain from those wounds comes to revisit, to block and paralyse us in the moment called now. We all know it comes without warning - "Why am I feeling this way, I didn't mean to do that, I don't know what made me say that." Healing does not mean finding and treating every single inner scar which send it message to haunt us. It means going even deeper, past those wounds, beyond those distant memories and recording of unfinished business, to the core of our self, to the heart of our spirit, where we find the light and warmth of our own core qualities of love and peace. They are eternally present within us they are what we need to heal all our inner wounds. That's why this kind of deep healing is called spirituality and not therapy.

Bask In The Pure Love of God - Self Help Quotes

However it seems easier to give something for the afflicted in a far-off country than to give the right kind of time and energy to the people closest to us. Give respect to those who have no self-respect, treating juniors with, as much sensitivity as our seniors does not come always naturally. And giving respect to the self can be even more difficult. We can start by silently speaking to our mind in a loving way. We need to encourage ourselves when we make mistakes and contemplate on the most beautiful things in life. We should bask in the pure love of God that lies in the heart of the universe.

Recognize Your Own Uniqueness and Specialty - Self Respect Quote

To stay in our self-respect is to achieve success. The opinion of the self is usually based on those around us specially on those who are important to us. We usually find our thoughts being swayed by whatever we hear from others about us. As we continue to hear from others we begin to believe what we hear and consider ourselves the same. We need to recognise our own uniqueness and speciality and make conscious effort to remember and work with them. The more we do this we will be able to maintain our own self-respect. Then we will not be influenced by any criticism but will continue to work for our success.

An Honest Heart Is An Open Heart - Be Honest Quote

An honest heart is an open heart. If we are dishonest in any way with ourselves or with others, it means we are in hiding. There is a wall, a barrier behind which we conceal something of ourselves. Subtle tension will be our companion, and while most of us learn to live with it, it drains our energy and tightens our muscles. On the other hand don't be too honest with others - feel their pulse - sometimes others are not ready to hear what's in your heart. But know that when you are honest you will experience a level of inner relaxation that you had forgotten was even possible.

To Be Seated on the Seat of Self Respect Is to Use Virtues in Life

To be seated on the seat of self-respect is to use virtues in life. It usually seems very difficult to use the virtues within us when the people around are not doing so. At such times using negativity seems much easier. In spite of not having that particular weakness predominantly, say of anger, when there is provocation from the outside we tend to react with that weakness. In order to free ourselves from weaknesses and work with the virtues within us we need to make sure we are seated on the seat of self-respect. For this we need to recognise and appreciate some speciality within us. When we are in the awareness of this speciality of ours, we will be able to stabilize ourselves in the state of our self-respect.

True Progress Brings Progress in Others as Much as for The Self

True progress brings progress in others as much as for the self. It is usually believed that self-progress and progress of others is totally separate. It is believed that where there is thought for the progress of the self, there is selfishness and there is no benefit for those around. In fact, selfishness in an extreme form can also have a negative influence on those around. In whatever we do we have to check and see if there is any benefit for others along with whatever benefit we are getting. If there isn't we can check to see if there is a better way of doing what we are doing which could have a positive influence on at least one person. Then we will find ourselves benefiting doubly. We will get the blessings from others along with the personal benefit we get.

To Be a Donor Means to Give at Each Step and Increase One's Own Stock

To be a donor means to give at each step and increase one's own stock. Usually it seems very difficult to be a donor - to give from whatever resources we have. The thought often arises in the mind that we cannot give because we are ourselves not complete or full. We find ourselves constantly trying to fill ourselves and we then have no time or thought for giving to those around us. We have a lot of treasures within us which we can give to those around us, our virtues, our specialties etc. Even if we have just a little and give to the others, we will find ourselves benefiting. For having given from whatever we have, we find that these treasures begin to increase within ourselves too.

Maintain Your Self-respect in Difficult Situation

Every reaction to situations is a reflection of one's own self-respect. To the extent that there is a high degree of self-respect, to that extent there is a positive response to even the most negative situations. If there is low self-respect, even the smallest situation brings forth a strong negative reaction. This reaction only makes matters worse. When I am able to maintain my own self-respect even in the worst situation, I am able to have a hold, control over these situations. But if I have a low self-respect I continue to blame situations and use them as excuses to feel helpless. So I am not able to do anything about these situations and just continue to have negative feelings.

Have the Spirit of Sharing and Be Happy Always

To have the spirit of sharing is to be constantly happy. There are lots of resources in each one's life that can be shared with others. The more there is the consciousness of giving there is the ability to give and share these inner resources with others. New treasures are discovered and used for the benefit of all and also for the self. There is constant satisfaction in our lives when there is the spirit of giving. There are no expectations from others, but only an awareness of what we have. Life becomes more and more satisfactory and we feel richer for having given unconditionally. There are also constant good wishes that we receive from others.

Inspire Responsibility in Others

To be fully responsible is to inspire responsibility in others. When there is true responsibility, there will be freedom given to others too to be responsible. Ones ideas are not forced on to others but there is full freedom for others to make their own choice. Support and guidance of course are given and people are able to become independent and responsible. When we have learnt to take up the responsibility of our own life, we are able to become self-sufficient and independent and also constantly be available for those around us to become independent and responsible too. There are enough resources in us for those around to take benefit from.

Always Keep God As Our Companion

When we are in the elevated company of the One God, no bad company will influence us. Sometimes when we are working for our self-development we sometimes wish for support or understanding from others which we don't always get. We actually look for a role model, whom we could follow or who could be an inspiration for us. When we don't find anyone like that we tend to get disheartened and continue to justify ourselves for not bringing any change in ourselves. The solution lies in becoming a role model and a source of support for others instead of expecting others to do so. For this we need to pay extra attention to the kind of company we keep. Under all circumstances, if we keep God as our companion we will not be influenced by any other company, however strong they might be. We will then be able to bring about change in ourselves.

Gentleness Gives You Great Power

Real gentleness in a person is a great power. The power that sees, understands, but never interferes. Like the branch of the tree, just touching the earth but never taking root in it. Never to take root in someone else’s mind but to help, that’s gentleness.

See How We Can Help Others Wherever We Are

The one who experiences freedom in the mind is the one who can bring benefit to others. There is usually the feeling that there is not enough time for the self. And so there is no time to spare for others too. The more we think about ourselves only, we don't seem to be able to be free for anyone else. Then we find our days just pass by without being able to bring any benefit to others or ourselves. Instead of taking out time separately for bringing benefit to others, we only need to see how we can help others wherever we are. We would be able to do this only when we are free from the weaknesses in our own mind. This will help us to be available to everyone around. If we are mentally preoccupied with our own weaknesses we will not be able to free to bring benefit to anyone.
